Meet Nikki
Nikki Bufford is a dedicated professional in Energy Risk Management and a proud member of the Fircrest City Council, where she currently serves as Mayor Pro Tempore. Her career reflects a passion for developing and advancing programs, especially in cross-functional settings that bring people and ideas together.
Committed to building stronger, more connected communities, Nikki believes active participation in local government is key to creating meaningful change. She brings real-world experience and a collaborative, solution-focused approach to public service.
Nikki holds dual undergraduate degrees from Central Washington University in Finance and Economics. Her career includes 9 years in the private sector as a finance professional in both large and small organizations before transitioning to the public sector 8+ years ago. Nikki has a keen interest in continuous improvement and has championed many initiatives to develop and implement new processes and systematic approaches to enhance risk management effectiveness.

During her first term on Fircrest City Council Nikki has worked closely with her peers to advance public safety, build community connection, and advance thoughtful planning. She has represented Fircrest through -

In her down time, Nikki enjoys taking part in local community events both as a planning committee member and a day-of volunteer. She is also an avid hiker, occasional crafter, and always looks forward to spending time with family and friends.
